We are a group of dedicated, passionate rehabilitation professionals that love our job! SOUND Veterinary Rehabilitation Center is a proud partner of Animal Surgical and Orthopedic Center, the region’s first established surgical referral practice in 1986, owned and operated by the doctors that work in the clinic every day. Together SOUND and ASOC have become the premier orthopedic, sports medicine and rehabilitation center in the Pacific Northwest. The current team consists of 2 rehab DVMs, 5 DACVS surgeons, one PT, 2 certified rehab technicians, 6 dedicated rehab assistants and 2 hard-working referral coordinators. Equipment and facilities include: radiology, CT, fluoroscopy, diagnostic ultrasound, arthroscopy, 3 PRP systems, ESWT, 3 underwater treadmills and full rehab gym. SOUND’s case load is well established, and sports medicine/rehabilitation services are in high demand in the region.

Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist

SOUND Veterinary Rehabilitation Center, a well-established sports medicine/rehabilitation practice in the Seattle area, is actively seeking a DACVSMR (or board eligible individual) for the position of Rehabilitation Specialist and Medical Director.

We are looking for a motivated individual with specialty training and clinical experience in the sports medicine/rehabilitation field, and willingness/ability to take on a leadership role with our well established rehabilitation team. Our team culture is outstanding with a high level of collaboration between the rehab and surgical groups.

Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist/Practitioner

We are actively searching for a DVM Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT/CCRP) to join our team!

The ASOC surgeons believe that physical rehabilitation is essential for comprehensive surgical care and we believe in an integrated approach to developing patient care plans. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to join a highly collaborative, cohesive, supportive, and fun team. Candidates must share our commitment to delivering extraordinary patient care and outstanding client communication, including working closely with our referring veterinary community. Applicants for the position must have excellent inter-personal skills, as this role does require exceptional client education and communication skills as well as the ability to reach out, educate and build relationships with our referral community. Priority will be given to candidates with clinical rehabilitation experience.

Patient Care Coordinator

SOUND Veterinary Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team!

Front desk staff members at SOUND have influence with our clients that other positions do not.  They are the first SOUND representatives that a current or potential client sees or hears, and with this comes certain obligations.  At all times, the Referral Coordinator must maintain a warm, professional appearance and demeanor.  Focusing on client satisfaction rather than simply client service is required at all times.  The ability to anticipate client needs is paramount.  Some of these needs include feeling welcome, receiving timely service, being understood, feeling comfortable, being remembered, and recognized, and feeling appreciated.

Job Duties

  • Client services
    • Recognize and exceed client needs
    • Client communication in person, telephone and email
    • Check in patients
    • Advise clients on modalities offered
    • Scheduling appointments
  • Record collection and management
    • Request medical records
    • Update current records as needed
  • Advise clients of payments options and policies
  • Collect and process payments
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and hospital manager
